Vite Vitejs Improper Access Control Vulnerability

Vite · Vitejs

CVSS 5.3 EPSS 59% no public exploit indexed Fix deadline passed 12 February 2026

What it is

Vite Vitejs contains an improper access control vulnerability that exposes content of non-allowed files using ?inline&import or ?raw?import. Only apps explicitly exposing the Vite dev server to the network (using --host or server.host config option) are affected.

Why we say that

  • EPSS puts exploitation in the next 30 days at 59%
  • CISA's federal remediation deadline (2026-02-12) has passed
  • Listed in the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue

Every line above comes from a named public source. Where the evidence is thin, we say so rather than inventing confidence — see methodology.

What to do

Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.

What it costs when this goes wrong
